With support from Finland ́s Culturel Institute in DK it is with great entusiasme that we now can announce the upcoming exhibition CLAY PROTOGANISTS. It is an exhibition with the Finnish artist Marianne Huotari and the Danish artist Mette Ravn.

The idea that ceramic is a serious artform is not new. Ceramic art has a rich history with strong traditions in every country in the world. The two artists both have a fresh and open minded approach to ceramic traditions. They both work, each their own way with a poetic deepening of the treasures in the ceramic traditions.

The art objects are the characters who drives the action. In other words, they are the central of the story, but also the emotional hearts of the artists narratives. You will be able to explore the narrative of the intimate relationship that excists between the ar- tists and the objects. In the end, it is the art objects you will see and conceive – they are the main characters of the story – they are the clay protagonists .
